WOMEN IN ISLAM – A DIALOGUE

Monroe, NJ | March 22, 2018, Muslims for Peace, Inc. proudly announces the presentation of the 12th Annual Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) Interfaith Conference – Women in Islam: A Dialogue. The Conference will be held on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Rutgers’ Cook Campus Student Center, 54 Biel Road, New Brunswick, NJ 08901. This year’s Conference will be hosted by Anisa Diab and features an all-female panel of distinguished speakers including Dr. Sandy Russell Jones, Kameelah Mumin Rashad, Dr. Alaa Murabit and Najah Bazzy. In addition, Muslims for Peace, Inc. shall be presenting the following awards: (i) Leadership Award to Hon. Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman (NJ 12th District), (ii) Peace Award to Dr. Alaa Murabit, (iii) Community Services Award to Dr. Hatem Abushahba, (iv) Vibrant Muslim Award to Amani Al-Khatahtbeh; (v) Interfaith Award to Dr. Sandy Russell Jones, and (vi) Youth Award to Zahra Rasool. The Conference also features a market area where various vendors will be displaying goods and products. The Conference is without cost to attend.

Muslims for Peace, Inc. is an organization that aims to bridge people from different religious and ethnic backgrounds through interfaith activities. The organization believes in education and we aim to spread the message that Islam stands for non-violence. We work towards a better understanding of Islam among all people of the world. We believe, as Muslims, that first and foremost, we are humans and our duty towards humanity is to collectively strive and work to seek justice for all.
